University students in Brazil have been learning about dignity and dignity rights and have created materials and activities for 9-year olds in schools in their community. They are teaching the kids about self-esteem and personal development, exclusion and discrimination, relationships and support, and the right to be respected as a child. Here they are playing a yarn game focusing on self-respect and respect for others.
If you’ve been hurt, badly, you may feel like your dignity is impaired. But it’s always with you, just as powerful as ever. Dignity Now! has produced a booklet and a Zine to help people who have survived violence and trauma that their dignity is intact and will give them strength to heal.
Dignity Now! has produced books explaining the dignity that children have, from birth, and the legal rights they have so that their dignity can be protected and promoted. The books are currently available in English and French and we have new versions specifically for Asia, Brazil, and Haiti.
